Clover Mites
Clover mites are not very common in homes or businesses but can come inside through any crack or crevice looking for food & shelter. Even though they are small in size, they are noticeable as they invade residence in large numbers. These bright red, tiny bugs (1/32’’) infest plants and do not feed off blood like other mite species. They are not dangerous to humans or pets and prefer areas that are warm and high in moisture. They are attracted to over fertilized yards and commonly found in grass beds. The mites’ body pigment is red and will stain parts of your home or business if crushed. Females can lay up to seventy eggs at a time, making them populate quickly. These 8-legged pests can be overwhelming if not properly treated.
