Fleas
FleasFleas are a common household pest often brought into homes by pets. These wingless, brownish-black (less than 1/4″) insects jump from host to host biting repeatedly into the skin to obtain their food source of blood. They have a toxin in their saliva causing irritation and itchiness to their host. A female can lay up to 50 tiny (less than 1/50’’) oval, rice-like eggs every 3-5 hours if they are receiving a steady source of food. The eggs are white or translucent in color and can spread easily from place to place due to their smooth exterior. Since these parasites spread rapidly, it can be difficult to get rid of them with over the counter products.

* All pets will need to be treated for fleas before any extermination service can be done. All people & pets will have to be out of the residence for 2 hours for all flea treatments.
